The Atlantic Tennis Centre (otherwise known as ‘ATC’) is a tennis, pickleball and multisport centre located in the Bedford Commons area of the Halifax Regional Municipality. A not-for-profit organization that welcomes the local community with year-round access to six indoor Har-Tru tennis courts, six indoor hard courts, six outdoor hard courts, three pickleball courts, a fitness centre, a court viewing area, washroom and shower facilities, and food/beverage services.
The ATC hosting a doubles tennis tournament to raise funds for the Green Avengers on October 16 from 3pm to 10 pm. The Green Avengers is the Ecology Action Centre’s Blue Nose Marathon Team. The team is raising funds and awareness for the Ecology Action Centre for their 50th year of environmental work.
The event will also have local beer courtesy of 2 Crows Brewing Co., food courtesy of Bird’s Nest Cafe, side games, and exciting prizes! Players and spectators can both join the event with a separate registration process.
All proceeds from the event will be donated to the Green Avengers to help reach their fundraising goals and support the work of the EAC.
