The David Sobey Centre for Innovation in Retailing & Services at Saint Mary’s University is again hosting its flagship event, the National Retail Innovation Awards. It was created on 2017 and it recognizes up-and-coming retailers, or companies supporting the retail sector, for their innovation and unique contribution to Canadian retailing over the past year. Winners of the awards demonstrate innovation and excellence in retail and show promise as the new generation of change-makers.
Due to the pandemic, the awards ceremony will again be virtual for the safety of the attendees and award winners.
This year, the featured special keynote speaker is Neil Hoyne. He is the Chief Measurement Strategist at Google. Hehas led over 2,500 engagements with the world’s biggest advertisers—helping them acquire millions of customers, improve conversion rates by over 400 percent, and generate billions in incremental revenue.
Neil is sought internationally as a keynote speaker, a lecturer at top business schools, and a contributor in multiple patents. Further, as Google’s chief measurement strategist and global head of customer analytics, he pioneers strategies for customer lifetime value, marketing attribution, dynamic pricing, content personalization, and truly democratized data. After earning degrees from Purdue University and UCLA, Hoyne returned to academia in 2018 as a Senior Fellow at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
