It is the season of happiness, gifts, and lights! During this month, there are already colorful lights on the streets, on our homes, and some business establishments. This signifies that Christmas is near! For some, lighting Christmas trees is very special. That is why they make a special event about it. Here are the events you should look forward to attending to:
Take a stroll on November 26 at 6:30 pm through Acadia Park and enjoy the winter wonderland of lights at the Annual Sackville Christmas Tree Lighting! For a decade now, the Sackville Business Association has been hosting this event where community organizations come together to provide live entertainment, treats, a visit from Santa, and the Lighting of the Christmas Tree. This is a free event so bring your friends and families!
Enjoy your weekend during the Halifax Tree Lighting Ceremony on November 27 at 6:00 pm at the Grand Parade, Downtown Halifax. Get in the holiday spirit with live entertainment and the unveiling of the City Hall holiday projection show! It is a FREE event so come with your family and watch Santa help light the tree and the fireworks after the ceremony!
Join in the celebration of the Annual Hydrostone Tree Lighting! This event includes refreshments, music, and of course, Santa! You can also donate and support the Veith House, a neighbourhood hub providing services & opportunities to Halifax residents, connecting them with one another to build a healthy, vibrant community. They will also be selling raffle tickets on site for a chance to win a gift basket! Visit the Hydrostone Park on December 3 at 6:30pm and get a chance to win gifts while having fun!
Join the celebration of the Lights of Dartmouth Christmas at the Alderney Landing Events Plaza on December 4 at 5:30pm and have a sight of the spectacular light displays in Downtown Dartmouth!
Get ready to celebrate the holiday season with friends and family and view spectacular light displays in Downtown Dartmouth. On December 11, you can also witness the 3rd Annual Christmas Lighting during the East Dartmouth Community Tree Lighting at the East Dartmouth Community Centre.
Enjoy marshmallow roasting, hot drinks & treats, festive music, and fireworks at the Shubie Park Christmas Tree Lighting on December 5 at 4:00pm – 6:00 pm. Bring your kids and join Santa in counting down to the tree lighting!
