It’s always a tradition during Christmas to have a Christmas Tree. There are different kinds, sizes, and even colors of a Christmas tree. We also can have a tree that contribute to a healthy mother earth.
The Ecology Action Centre (EAC) has provided Haligonians with a source for sustainably grown, spray-free Christmas Trees since 1992. Your purchase of trees from the EAC, through their Christmas Tree Fundraiser, helps in supporting local farmers and contributing to the great work of their staff and volunteers throughout the year, to build a more just and sustainable world.
You can still order online until December 6, 2021 and can be picked up on December 11, 2021 at St. Margaret’s of Scotland Anglican Church, 3751 Robie Street, Halifax. To adhere to the Covid-19 protocols, customers are asked to pick a time slot to avoid people gathering at one time. Pick-up time slot options can be found on the order form.
Some of you might want wild and untrimmed trees straight from the woods. You’re in luck! Kevin, EAC’s tree farmer is offering a small number of these trees for EAC supporters. You can choose this as an option when you order your tree.
