The Evergreen Festival is back for 2021, and this year it’s going to be bigger and better than ever! It is a 4-week-long outdoor winter showcase of Nova Scotian culture, food, spirits, craft, art, and memorable experiences to celebrate and embrace the essence of the season.
Local retailers, restaurants, hotels, attractions, public spaces throughout the Halifax region will offer holiday light displays and festive programming to create a festive feeling of celebration.
There are a lot to see and experience during the festivities!
Visit Evergreen Bright, a walkable outdoor trail of twinkling holiday light displays and installations along the Halifax waterfront, throughout downtown Halifax, downtown Dartmouth, and beyond. Catch the amazing lights from 4:30 pm – 11:30 pm every night until January 2, 2022.
Have a walk at the Evergreen Village, which includes the Evergreen Market, the Evergreen Festival main stage and the free Container Stage, the Mental Health Foundation Tree Lot of Kindness, a seaside Ferris Wheel, and a festive Hay Bale Maze for kids! It is a collection of festive activities and attractions on the Halifax waterfront.
Enjoy and sing-along with your favorite local bands and musicians perform live from the Evergreen Village on the Halifax waterfront. You can also book a propane fire table or picnic table pod at the festival main stage, with performances brought to you by Jazz East Rising Association, the same team that brings you the annual Halifax Jazz Festival!
Already hungry because of all these adventures? Don’t worry! There are a lot of local restaurants are offering holiday-themed beverages and soups to keep spirits high and belly warm as you explore the festival.
