The pandemic had made a huge impact to all of us, and some is still struggling to cope with it until now. Most of those who made it through and now getting back to normal are often being recognized for their resiliency. But what does it mean to be resilient?
According to Mayo Clinic, “resilience is your ability to adapt well and recover quickly after stress, adversity, trauma or tragedy.” Being resilient is not easy, but according to Doctors Nova Scotia, there are ways to become resilient.
Time to Connect
You should always take a time to socially connect physically. Interact with your family, friends, or neighbours. You can also do this by doing activities together or by jogging or working out. With this, you are improving both your social and physical health.
Don’t forget to switch off
Because of the pandemic, almost everything relies on technology. Online bookings, zoom meetings, and online classes. You may want to take some time off from that computer or phone. Try reading a book, do more often your hobbies, or have physical activities. These will help you build your resilience.
Get help when you need it-and we always need it
Prevention is better that cure. Don’t wait until your lack of resiliency affect your overall mental health. You may start with therapists and help work out in improving your resiliency.
