Winter Bike Week
Are you ready to hop on your bike for some year-round cycling? Whether you are an old pro or new to cycling in the winter, Halifax Bike Week is a week-long event to celebrate winter cycling. The Halifax Cycling Coalition has some great tips on cycling in the winter, riding techniques, and how to stay safe. This event will be on different location throughout HRM from February 7-13
Beyond Van Gogh – Halifax
Immerse yourself in a three-dimensional world of Vincent Van Gogh, which features more than 300 of Van Gogh’s iconic artwork, enhanced by his own words, thoughts, and dreams. Guests will walk through the projections of lights and colours that form the famous painter’s creations, with classics like The Starry Night, Sunflowers, Cafe Terrace at Night, The Red Vineyard, and Almond Blossom. You can visit from February 11 to March 11 at 10:00 am – 11:00 am.
Dine Around Halifax
Good news for foodies! Join the celebration of Halifax’s culinary scene where you can sample some of the city’s best culinary creations without breaking the bank. Skating at the Emera Oval
If you are looking for a more physical activity, head over to the Halifax Common and enjoy outdoor skating at the Emera Oval! The Emera Oval offers FREE public skating throughout the day, every day. Equipment loans are available (helmets and skates) in limited quantities at NO COST for use at the oval with a government-issued ID. Helmets are mandatory for children 12 years of age and younger. Bring a picnic and a thermos of hot chocolate and enjoy a beautiful winter day at the Halifax Common.
