After years of staying indoors, the Ecology Action Centre is excited to once again be participating in the Blue Nose Charity Challenge in 2022. The EAC’s team name is the Green Avengers and they would love for you to be part of their team!
The Blue Nose Marathon, known as ‘the people’s marathon’, is the signature event of Blue Nose. This event welcomes all ages, abilities and fitness levels traditionally occurring annually on Victoria Day weekend. It promotes and celebrates healthy living and active lifestyles and welcomes all ages, abilities and fitness levels. Blue Nose Marathon is a community based and volunteer-driven organization.
There are different races you can register. There is the Youth Run (2KM or 4KM), 5KM, 10KM Half Marathon and Full Marathon. Register as a walker or runner now because this year it would be something different! You can participate personally or virtually.
Aside from the actual marathon, you can also join The Giv’er Charity Challenge where participants can make their run/wheel/walk more meaningful by raising funds for one of their list of official charities.
So why join the Green Avengers? They will cover your race fee for you! You can win awesome prizes from them; you will get the chance to meet likeminded people in your community; and finally, the most important thing is you know the money you’re raising is going to an important and crucial cause!
