On April 23rd, Rotary Club of Halifax North West hosted a clean-up of Long Lake Provincial Park in partnership with the Association. The fun started with a meet and greet at 9:30 am. Neighbours and Rotarians brought a beverage and a treat, getting to know each other a bit before embarking on the task of the day. At 10 am, the garbage pick-up began with bags supplied. Grabbers or sticks to assisted with picking up the waste. Many people had been using the park all year round and many more are looking forward to getting outside after a long winter. They will appreciate our efforts to keep the park looking spiffy. Flora, fauna, friends and fresh air! What a great way to greet Spring!
Our Rotary Club of Halifax Northwest welcomes everyone to explore community service with us! We pride ourselves on being diverse and inclusive – and we’re friendly! We currently meet in person every Tuesday from 11:45 to 1 pm. at Freeman’s on Dutch Village Road in Fairview. For more information contact Roger Chiasson at rogerchiasson305@ gmail.com or (782) 234-9408.
