Women’s empowerment can be defined to promoting women’s sense of self-worth, their ability to determine their own choices, and their right to influence social change for themselves and others.
Showing support to women empowerment, the Halifax Chamber of Commerce presents The Wonder Women Conference. This conference brings together bold and ambitious women to connect, educate, inspire and empower one another to take on new and expanded roles in work, community and life.
Wonder Women is proud to offer diverse female-led content featuring local, professional superheroes. They are inviting you to build meaningful relationships with women across all industries. You can participate in engaging workshops and hearing from a panel of local leaders on successes and challenges of women in business. Wonder Women was started to diversify our events and to create a space where all of Halifax’s communities could get involved and engaged with the business community.
This year, the Halifax Chamber of Commerce will also be having Wonder Women Marketplace which will allow emerging and established woman entrepreneurs to showcase their business throughout the day! Business owners will have a to sell their products and services with their booths to 400+ Wonder Women attendees!
The conference will be held on May 18 at 8:00 am. The venue will be at Cedar Event Centre, 111 Clayton Park Dr. Halifax NS B3M 1M3.
