A new month has come, a new set of happenings is waiting for you, your families, and friends! Enjoy these awesome summer events and festivities around HRM!

Halifax Lebanese Cedar Festival
In November 2006, under the leadership and through the vision of the pastor, Father Pierre Azzi, and the parish council of Our Lady of Lebanon Church, Cedar Festival was founded. The focus of the Lebanese Cedar Festival is to promote and foster the Lebanese culture and traditions as integral elements of Canada’s multicultural mosaic and to provide a venue for Canadians of Lebanese heritage to reacquaint themselves with their rich roots. The Cedar Festival is an opportunity for families and groups of all ages to be together to experience the culture and heritage in a fun, free, and safe atmosphere!

The 15th Annual Lebanese Cedar Festival will be held on June 2-5, 2022, at 111 Clayton Park Drive in Halifax. Guests will be able to enjoy the most delicious Lebanese cuisine while dining-in onsite and enjoying the sights and sounds of Lebanese music, dancing, and more!

Cold Waters Seafood Festival
This year the Eastern Shore Cold Waters Seafood Festival is also back! Eastern Shore culture is anchored in the coves, harbours, and inlets that form the wild shores where we live. These cold, clear waters yield some of the best seafood in the province, and we celebrate that coastal connection in a big way. Whether you’re looking for contemporary dishes, simple steamed shellfish, or tried and true traditional favourites, you’ll find it at the Cold Waters Seafood Festival! This is a rain or shine event.

Join the festivities on June 4 & 5 at 11:00 am! They are located at Memory Lane Heritage Village, 5435 Clam Harbour Rd, Lake Charlotte.

Halifax Greek Fest
Inspired by tales from Lillian Meletedis who had attended a similar event in the US, and spearheaded by (then priest) Father Elles and community leaders (the late) Steve Panais and John Angelopoulos – plans were hatched to launch the first Greek Summer Festival in 1986. Leading up to the inaugural event the Greek community did not know what it would take to host a Greek Summer Festival. They had no idea how much food, or what food should be served, but they were convinced that they should proceed. They decided to hold the festival on the second weekend of June.

The Halifax Greek Festival has been serving food to friends and to the greater Halifax community for over three decades. If you know anything about their culture, it’s that they have a great love for cooking and good food. Head to 1146 Purcells Cove Road, Halifax this June 9-12 and enjoy the delicious taste of Greece, right here in Halifax! This festival offers a variety of authentic foods and sweets – made with love – by Greek chefs from recipes passed throughout many generations.

RiverBreeze Farm Baby Animal Days
RiverBreeze Farm is a home of RiverBreeze Corn Maze and a Nova Scotia’s award-winning entertainment farm! They have acres of strawberry/ raspberry & pumpkin upicks, famous sweetcorn, fall strawberries and more! The farm invites you to celebrate Spring at their Baby Animal Days! Bring your family and visit the new additions to the farm including their adorable baby goats, lambs, piggies, chicks, bunnies, ducks, horses, calf and their baby Kangaroo, Millie. Their playground will also be open for you to enjoy, including the jumping pillow, slide, and more!

They are located at Riverbreeze Farm, 660 Onslow Road, Upper Onslow (Near Truro). The farm opens at 10:00.

Grand Oasis at Parade Square
Bring your family and friends in downtown enjoy FREE live music, dance, art, and culture in and around the Grand Parade Square at the Grand Oasis. There will be patio furniture and picnic tables for you to use or feel free to bring your own chairs and blankets. The stage will be packed with incredible Canadian talent throughout the summer! Grand Oasis is in the heart of the city and has limited capacity. The event will start on June 21, free pass reservation at https://www.eventbrite.ca/.
