Eastern Passage-Cow Bay Summer Carnival
Enjoy a series of events such as photography contest, senior tea, fireworks, rubber boot golf scramble, domino topple, sand sculpture contest and more this August 3-7 2022. Their success is thanks to the hard work of their volunteers who have become synonymous with the Carnival and their experience and advice is cherished. Northern Lights Lantern Festival
Bring your family and friends for an evening full of amazing activities and events at the Merv Sullivan Memorial Park this Saturday, August 6 for the 19th Annual Northern Lights Lantern Festival! Join in the celebration of the vibrancy and diversity of Halifax’s North End. It’s a community festival in the truest sense where everyone is welcome. Admission is free with live music and free barbecue! Program starts at 5:30 pm.
Halifax County Exhibition
The Halifax County Exhibition is a family exhibition proudly run by the community and many dedicated volunteers since 1884. Enjoy a 4-day of Family Fun Entertainment such as livestock displays and competitions, 4-h competitions, children’s games and activities, tasty treats, local entertainment and so much more. Your kids will also enjoy taking a stroll through their livestock barns and have a chat with local farmers, enjoy homemade chili, or even a strawberry shortcake! They are located at the Halifax County Exhibition Grounds, 190 Exhibition Grounds Road, Middle Musquodoboit. Visit them from August 17th – 20th, 2022.
Mother Goose Festival
The Mother Goose Festival by Kiwanis is back! After a two-year break due to pandemic, this family-friendly event will be held on Saturday, August 20. Bring your family, specially your kids, to Alderney Landing to meet nursery rhyme friends, dig for treasure, watch a Play, meet farm animals, play on the bouncy castles, and more!
