Natal Day is a popular civic holiday celebrated in the Halifax-Dartmouth region every year on the first Monday of August. The festivities are marked with parades, fireworks, races, cake-cutting ceremonies, concerts, and more.

The Annual Halifax Busker Festival
After two years of virtual celebrations, the Halifax Busker Festival has plans to celebrate the reopening by coming back bigger than ever with an expansion to the Dartmouth Waterfront. This summer, the festival will feature the hilarious, wacky, and breathtaking entertainment that can only be found at the annual Halifax Busker Festival! Witness mind blowing shows from the world’s top street performance artists as they showcase their unique talents and skills with acrobatics, music, visual arts, comedy, fire shows, and so much more! Join the festivities on July 27 to August 1!
The Grand Oasis Festival Series
Enjoy a free festival and celebrate with music, arts, and culture at Grand Parade in downtown Halifax. The festival will take place from June 21 to Oct. 1, 2022. Each week will include a new lineup of artists and events, from Canada’s greatest hitmakers to Billboard chart-topping sensations to Indigenous artists and voices.
Halifax Dartmouth Natal Day Harbour Fireworks
Enjoy the view of the George’s Island and Halifax Harbour on July 30 at 10:00 pm
Pepsi Natal Day Parade
One of the highlights of Natal Day is back! Join the parade and register and get a chance to win special prizes! The parade will take place on August 1 at 10:00 am.
