This summer, Halifax is filled with events and festivals! Mark your calendars because these events will again be unforgettable!
Peggy’s Cove Area Festival of the Arts
This festival is one of the most anticipated events specially for visitors. One of the highlights of this festival is the Paint Peggy’s Cove which is a three-day plain air painting event with over 40 local and international artists participating to be held in the village of Peggy’s Cove starting on July 8.
From July 15 to 17, there will be a Studio Tour that includes over 70 studio artists, galleries and art groups welcoming visitors through their doors. In this event, visitors will have the chance to meet and interact with artists behind each art in the studio.
K-POP Random Play Dance Event
Great news for K-Pop fans because on July 9 the 3rd K-Pop Random Play Dance event will be held on the Halifax Waterfront! During the event, chorus of random popular K-Pop songs will be played, and whoever knows the original choreography can perform it!
TD Halifax Jazz Festival
Enjoy jazz music and join the festivities with The TD Halifax Jazz Festival at the Halifax Waterfront from July 12- 17. This festival is formerly known as the Atlantic Jazz Festival and is the oldest jazz festival and largest summer festival in Atlantic Canada which attracts up to 65,000 visitors, involves 400 volunteers and employs over 350 local musicians.
This festival promotes soft-seat concerts and club shows to planning educational workshops and develops opportunities for amateur musicians, established local artists and the local “jazz aristocracy”.
Halifax Pride Festival
Let us join our 2SLGBTQ+ community and enjoy the Halifax Pride Festival! This is an annual 11 day gathering in the Halifax Regional Municipality which features over 150 community and Pride organized events. This festival is a celebration of the history, culture, activism, and perseverance of the queer community. Witness and celebrate the festivities from July 14 to 24 in downtown Halifax!
Nova Multifest 2022
Bring your family and friends and celebrate Nova Scotia’s rich diversity with Nova Multifest 2022! This society was established to support and celebrate the province’s rich tapestry of culture and diversity. Its main goal is to bring communities together by supporting diversity, inclusion, tolerance and positivity which is drawn inspiration from prominent Canadians, and building on Canada’s vision to be a progressive multicultural nation.
