It’s official! It’s summer season! We open one of the most enjoyable seasons in Canada with the celebration of the Canada Day! There are a lot of activities and events on the 1st day of July throughout HRM. Other than these, here are other events and activities you and your family will surely enjoy!
Dartmouth Summer Sunshine Series
Enjoy 10 weeks of live entertainment until August 28 at the 2022 Dartmouth Summer Sunshine Series free concerts! Bring your family at the Dartmouth Ferry Terminal Park on Saturdays and Sundays for exciting live music and special events on the Dartmouth Waterfront. Different artists will be performing each day so don’t miss them!
The Halifax Mural Festival
Enjoy a week-long festival from July 11 to 17, witness artists add splashes of colour, and bring life to blank walls at the Quinpool Road & The Halifax Waterfront!
The Halifax Mural Festival is a community-based art event, producing murals on Quinpool Road and the Halifax Waterfront. Over the course of a week, both well-established and emerging artists will bring colour to iconic public spaces.
Maritime Fiddle Festival
Since 1950, the Maritime Fiddle Festival has been the source for lively entertainment, spirited and fun competition, and traditional Nova Scotian hospitality. The festival has grown from a small fundraiser originally organized to help build a community church, to Canada’s longest running old-time fiddle festival and competition. Every year the festival welcomes participants, bus tours, and audiences from across North America and around the world.
This year, witness the 71st Annual Maritime Fiddle Festival of Canada’s longest-running old-time fiddle festival and competition. Events and competitions will be held at East Dartmouth Community Centre and other locations throughout Dartmouth from July 7 to 11.
Grand Oasis at Parade Square
Bring your family in the heart of the city at the Grand Oasis Grand Parade, Halifax and enjoy FREE live music, dance, art, and culture! Witness incredible Canadian talent until October 1st. There will be patio furniture and picnic tables for you to use or feel free to bring your own chairs and blankets.
East Coast Kite Festival
Hello kite lovers! Come and join the 6th Annual East Coast Kite Festival at Citadel Hill at the Halifax Citadel on July 23 to 24! Activities will start at 10:00 am. Enjoy the fun with food vendors, local artists, and lots of cool and crazy kites. Prepare now your kites and fly as high as you can!
