Gus’s 100th Birthday Party!
Bring your kids at the Museum of Natural History and join in the celebration of Gus’s 100th birthday! Gus is everyone’s favourite Gopher Tortoise! Enjoy special activities planned for your kids as they say hi to cute Gus this August 12-14!
The Museum of Natural History, as it’s known now, is responsible for the collecting and recording of artifacts of cultural significance to Nova Scotia as well as promoting Nova Scotia’s natural landscape. Here at the Museum we house collections on Archeology, Ethnology, Mammals, Marine life and more.
India Fest 2022
Enjoy a variety of Indian food, clothes, arts & crafts, jewellery and henna during the India Fest 2022! After two years, the Indian Festivals Club of Nova Scotia (IFCNS) will be hosting once again the India Fest 2022 that allows you to experience Indian Culture with authentic food, dance, and music.
IFCNS was founded in 2013 by Group of enthusiastic Friends who wanted to celebrate events which can build the bridges between cultures and communities.
Sackville Summer Concert Series
Prepare to be serenaded with free sweet sounds brought to you by Sackville Business Association! The Sackville Summer Concert Series will be performed at Acadia Park, 650 Sackville Drive until August 28 starting at 7:00 in the evening.
The Sackville Business Association (SBA) is a non-profit organization representing the businesses within the Sackville Business Improvement District (BID) that aims to make Sackville a great place to live, work and shop. Their mandate includes beautification, community events, marketing, networking and advocacy.
Art Carts at Alderney Landing
Great news for your creative babies! The Craig Gallery at Alderney Landing will be hosting Art Carts! These are workshops for all-ages that help you cultivate your creativity, and try new artistic activities this summer.
Alderney Landing is a community cultural centre, art gallery, market, events plaza and theatre facility in Downtown Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. Alderney Landing opened in May, 1999.
The Craig Gallery at Alderney Landing is a public art gallery programmed by a Volunteer Committee made up primarily of Dartmouth Professional Artists. The Gallery’s mission is to introduce the works of emerging and established local artists collectively providing a diversity
of mediums.
