Visitors will have a chance to taste a wide variety of oysters and get a rich immersion in oyster culture where local sea farmers and their families shuck for you.
It presents an all-you-can sample raw bar over the course of three tasting sessions each fall on the Halifax waterfront. The festival highlights the best in Nova Scotia and Maritime oyster culture and farming.
This independently run festival has consistently proven to be one of the best food festivals in the city since 2014. Each year they are hosting 2,500 attendees, where it offers a unique experience to meet and learn from the oyster farmer and their families, learning about the waters and history around local oysters.
