Kids love to perform in any place in front of many people, these classes would enhance their skills as they embark on a journey of self-discovery, learns new skills and discover their other hidden talents.
As part of the longest running and most successful children’s performing arts network in the world, Stagecoach Performing Arts Halifax is more than just another theatre school or dance school; they are proud to offer a full and rounded education, teaching life skills to build confidence and stretch imaginations through the performing arts.
They will definitely learn and enjoy in these classes because each class is taught by a highly trained and experienced teacher who will cater to each child’s unique needs and potential.
Stagecoach Halifax believes that the whole world is a stage and the skills children learn at here will help them at school, university and in their future careers. They provide children with the opportunity to participate in all three performing arts disciplines – drama, dance and singing – helping to develop confidence, physical awareness, communication and articulation – as well as being educational and lots of fun.
They offer three (3) stages. The first one is the Early Stages for ages 4 to 6. In this stage, kids are introduced to the performing arts program through the fabulous range of acting, dancing and singing classes. Drama sessions will allow budding young actors to role play and practice improvisation and storytelling. This will also help our children make new friends and improve their confidence and self-esteem.
For ages 6-14 is called the Main Stages. During this stage, kids and teens will flourish while improving their acting, dancing and singing skills through role plays, improvisations and other performances. The dance classes will feature pop, street and musical theatre routines. On the other hand, singing lessons will focus on learning different rhythms, tempos, singing styles and vocal techniques.
For teens and young adults with a more advanced skills, They can enroll to Further Stages. Teenagers will have a chance to have advanced Drama & Musical Theatre classes extending their performance skills. Through these training, performance opportunities and master classes, they will learn new skills or hone their performance skills, while working in a small theatre company. This can help them to prepare for higher learning such as theatre and vocational drama schools.
