This is an opportunity to engage with local community and celebrate the great diversity and legacy of the neighbourhood. This annual event builds on the celebration of Gottingen Streets 250th Anniversary which brings together communities through cultural exchange of live music, dance and food. Join the festivities this Saturday at 1:00 pm!
Halifax Wanderers Game
Another event you shouldn’t miss is the home game of your very own Halifax Wanderers FC against the Valour FC. Support and cheer for them this Saturday at 3:00 pm!
2022 Halifax Mayor’s Bike Ride
Great news for bikers! Gear up, paddle, and Join Mayor Mike Savage and Councillors for the 9th annual Mayor’s Ride. This event aims to promote cycling and to celebrate active transportation in the municipality. The ride also highlights the role that supporters of healthy and active communities are playing in the Halifax region. The starting point will be at the Halifax Central Library. The event will start at 2:00 pm and the actual bike ride will be followed by a reception at the Library.
Parkinson Canada SuperWalk Halifax
Are you ready to be fit and help at the same time? Come and join the largest annual fundraiser of Parkinson Canada! Since 1990, Canadians from across the country have come together both literally and figuratively to support their fellow human by taking part in the Parkinson Canada SuperWalk. They have raised funds and done an immeasurable job of spreading the word and advocating for those within the Parkinson community. Parkinson Canada funds critical research, provides information and support, increases awareness and advocates for improved healthcare outcomes for people with Parkinson’s across Canada. To date, the SuperWalk has raised over $40 million to fuel research, support tools, and advocacy. Register now and be a part of this fundraiser this weekend at the Victoria Park.
