Dempsey Corner Orchards
Experience local farming at Dempsey Corner Orchards with their family-owned U-Pick Orchard in Aylesford. They have been welcoming visitors to create new lasting memories since 2000. Families can choose apples, maize, pumpkins, peaches, and plums to pick. Children can even dig their own potatoes, carrots, onions, or beets! The youngsters will adore riding the merry-go-round with the goats (goats are included!). You may also take advantage of the Petting Zoo, playground, tea room, and bakery, which serves hot lunches, candies, jams, and of course, freshly baked pies. They are operating from Mondays to Saturdays and open at 10:00 am.
Willowbank U-pick Farm
The Johnson family owns the operating farm known as Willowbank U-Pick Farm. Each season their farm is open to the public starting from September to the end of October. A u-pick apple orchard, pumpkin patch, petting zoo, corn maze, and hayrides. It is also a market selling fresh produce, pickles, and hay bales that are available to the public during the fall. Their main main varieties of apples include Gravenstien, McIntosh & Cortland. They regularly prune their trees so that even our kids in our family can reach that perfect apple. They are located at 110 Starr’s Point Loop (Exit 11 off 101 Hwy), Port Williams.
Noggin’s Corner Farm Market
The Bishop family founded one of the oldest farms in Greenwhich Nova Scotia way back before Canada even became a country. Until this day, Noggins Corner Farm has maintained its original sense of hospitality. They have been incorporating the greatest agricultural, technological, and customer service methods. You can pick your own apples or pumpkins at our farm market, and while you’re there, enjoy their fantastic family fun area and corn maze.
There is nothing better than local, fresh vegetables, and the fall harvest in Nova Scotia is the best time to indulge in the bounty of delectable goodies. The best time of the year to visit Noggins Corner Farm is from mid-September until the end of October, when the apple orchards come to life. Visit them at 10009 Hwy #1, Greenwich.
Foote Family Farm
Bring your family and visit a beautiful farm set against the North Mountain in Woodville Kings County, Nova Scotia. You can get your honey and cider, pick some apples, picnic in the cherry orchard, or go for a hike on the Woodville hiking trails.
In addition to having 10 different apple varieties and a variety of other fruits and vegetables, including pumpkins, they specialize in bees and honey products. The Foote Family Farm is the ideal location for a low-key family trip because it has a picnic area and plenty of open room to explore.
