Enjoy this dramatic rendition of this seasonal favorite as a breather from the hustle and bustle of the season. The family-friendly version of Dickens’ A Christmas Carol is frequently funny and occasionally scary. Every Christmas, the narrative will make our hearts feel warm. With humor and tears, Ebenezer Scrooge, Tiny Tim, Bob Cratchit, and the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Future will serve as a gentle reminder that the true spirit of the season is one of giving. BONEY M. “Holiday Favourites and Classic Hits”
During their “Holiday Favourites and Classic Hits” world tour, Boney M makes a stop in Halifax! Boney M was initially created in Germany by author and producer Frank Farian. It was one of the disco-oriented pop artists that ruled the European charts in the late 1970s and early 1980s. They had a string of singles that are still well-remembered today. Sing along with their classic hits this 22nd of November at Scotiabank Centre!
Christmas with the Ennis Sisters
The Ennis Sisters have been engaging audiences all over the world for more than 25 years. Their harmonies ring true for everyone, from singing for international leaders and delegates at the 75th anniversary of D-Day on Juno Beach to arts centers in their native province of Newfoundland and Labrador. Fill your night with a mix of original songs, holiday classics, humorous recitations and a little Irish step dancing this 24th of November at the Rebecca Cohn Auditorium, Dalhousie Arts Centre.
The Nutcracker with Symphony Nova Scotia
Halifax’s favorite holiday tradition, Symphony Nova Scotia’s The Nutcracker, is finally returning for its 30th season! Witness a magical story of a young girl who is transported to an enchanted world when her toy comes to life, where she encounters mystical beings, vibrant new friends, and the ruthless Mouse Queen. This story of enchantment and wonder is “a much-loved version” and a fascinating holiday adventure for all ages, complete with gigantic puppets, lively dance, and Tchaikovsky’s renowned, hauntingly beautiful music. Watch the amazing show from December 2 to 11 at the Rebecca Cohn Auditorium, Dalhousie Arts Centre!
