We will thank and honor our veterans this weekend in remembrance of their sacrifices. Halifax-Dartmouth commemorations of Remembrance Day are particularly important. As the largest Canadian Forces Base in terms of the amount of people stationed here, Halifax played a significant part in both of the great wars. A Remembrance Day ceremony can be an emotional experience for families, whether you are there to remember the wars or you have a loved one serving.
In addition to Remembrance Day activities, here are some activities you can enjoy and some holiday markets you can shop in this weekend.
North by Night Holiday Market
Visit the North by Night Holiday Market to get into the holiday spirit. Warm mulled wine, live music, food trucks, local artists, and family activities make up Halifax’s Hip North End’s ambience, which is a lot of fun! Join the festivities this Saturday, November 12th at 2537 Agricola Street, Halifax from 2:00 pm to 9:00 in the evening.
Tree Lighting Party at Halifax Shopping Centre
Come join the Halifax Shopping Centre on November 12 at 6:30 p.m. under the skylight for a festive start to the season! The Halifax Shopping Center is the best place to find the ideal presents. They offer spectacular holiday experiences that your family will never forget, the newest fashions, and the best stocking stuffers.
Witness the Annual Holiday Tree Lighting Event. They will be lighting up their 20+ foot Christmas tree while you enjoy a FREE hot chocolate bar and a LIVE performance by The Mellotones!
