Then you are in line with many others as winter approached us here in Nova Scotia.
But if you have been checking reports on social media, you have seen that that travelling nowadays is not without its pitfalls: flights cancelled or delayed, resorts not being totally up to snuff as to amenities you expect and the industry as a whole suffering from Covid effects such as staffing problems. If you were among the many whose trips over the past 3 years were interrupted by the pandemic, you are no doubt eager to resume travel, whether it be ab ocean cruise a resort stay or travel to Europe and beyond.
AlmonTravel, in business since 2003, is a member of the Spryfield Business Commission and is the agency of choice of CARP NS (Canadian Association for Retired Persons). Over the Covid period, when no one was booking travel, we stayed busy and renewed (and made new) associations with Tour operators, cruise lines, resort chains in the Caribbean area, forging stronger bonds with these companies – and a good relationship with suppliers is gold these days!
We co-hosted travel presentations, all installed on our website at www. almontravel.ca/blog. Each of these travel presentations features a different tour operator representative, talking about what makes their company different from others and then looking at up to several itineraries that I felt clients might be interested in.
Subjects like among other, Sandals and Club Med Resorts, a dedicated Hawaii cruise (among other cruise destinations), a rail trip with hotels provided in Scotland, many river cruises (our specialty!), Coach tours by a variety of well-known companies like Trafalgar, Insight, Globus and local like Atlantic Tours.
I co-hosted these with the idea of keeping the dream of travel alive so that people could vicariously experience what these companies have to offer at a time when they could not travel. I also felt it important to include sample prices so that prospective travellers would have a sense of cost, though as time passes those costs will change.
