To participate as an exhibitor at the International Builders’ Show (IBS) in Las Vegas, Nevada from January 31 to February 2, 2023, export-ready Nova Scotia building products and services companies are currently being sought out by Invest Nova Scotia in collaboration with the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency and the Atlantic Provinces.
This trade expedition will include B2B networking opportunities, an Atlantic show pavilion, and assistance from Global Affairs Canada.
In the majority of the country’s areas, the construction industry in the United States is still expanding steadily. The United States continues to be a significant market for Atlantic Canadian businesses who provide building materials and services, especially with the extra benefit of the current favorable exchange rate.
The IBS is the most important annual residential and commercial house construction event in the United States for manufacturers and suppliers of building supplies. With sold-out booth space and more than 115,000 people from more than 100 countries, the IBS marked its 75th anniversary in 2020 with the largest show in ten years.
Eight Atlantic Canadian businesses produced more than 325 leads in 2020 and projected $3.65 million in sales over the course of a year. The corporations gave the Atlantic Pavilion a 91% satisfaction rating, and attendees gave it a 92.5% rating. More than 1,500 manufacturers and suppliers showcased the most recent developments in construction-related products and services at IBS 2019. There were wholesalers, remodelers, national builders, small local builders, custom house builders, architects, and other buyers from the United States and abroad present. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Atlantic Canada did not participate in 2021 or 2022.
The Atlantic pavilion will be situated close to other provincial pavilions for Canada in the IBS Central Hall, the main hall, in a good booth location. The 1,000 square foot pavilion will be 20 feet long and 50 feet broad. Individual exhibitor booths will measure 10 feet by 10 feet and be constructed in a classic row pattern.
Beginning in November 2022, there will be monthly meetings to plan participation, followed by biweekly meetings in the months running up to IBS Las Vegas 2023. Participants who have RSVP’d will receive invitations. Each representative will also be given a ticket to our networking event where they can meet other Atlantic Canadian exhibitors and trade commissioners who will be at the International Builders’ Show.
