February is heart month. The greatest method to protect your heart is to maintain an active lifestyle, eat more healthful foods, and reduce stress. But if it was that simple, everyone would be doing it! There are various obstacles that can stand in the way of people. The Community Health Team is always available to help you and your clients, so keep that in mind!
The Nova Scotia Health Authority offers medical care to residents of Nova Scotia as well as some specialty services to residents of the Maritimes and Atlantic Canada. All around the province, they run clinics, hospitals, and community-based initiatives.
The medical care or services you might want are provided by their team of health professionals, which consists of staff, physicians, researchers, students, and volunteers.
For them, partnerships are crucial. They collaborate with neighborhood organizations, educational institutions, governing bodies, charitable foundations, and community health boards. They are fostering a healthy Nova Scotia through running wellness initiatives in the neighborhood, carrying out ground-breaking research in labs, or assisting a patient in their recovery.
They offer free wellness programs and navigation services that are open to all residents of NS age 18 or older with a valid Nova Scotia health card.

Your health may be hampered by certain factors, and Wellness Navigation can help you find local and online options that can help. Residents of the greater Halifax area who have a current NS health card can access this free, non-urgent service for people, families, and children.
You can schedule appointments in person, over the phone, or using Zoom for Healthcare. Call 902-460-4560 and select option 1 for Bedford, Chebucto, Dartmouth, or Halifax to speak with someone about if a navigation is a good option for you.
