HEALTH STANDARDS
The pandemic highlighted long-standing challenges associated with infection control, staffing, and infrastructure in long-term care. Therefore, I am pleased to share that the Health Standards Organization has released a new national standard for Canada’s long-term care sector.
The new standards are informed by long-term care residents, family members and caregivers and are designed to deliver reliable services in a safe physical environment.

SAVING FAMILIES MONEY BY CUTTING CHILD CARE FEES

These savings are making a difference from coast to coast to coast – here is an example of what we’re hearing from Canadians on social media: “My daughter’s daycare fees have dropped from $1200 to $500 per month as well. It sure reduces the stress, including the strain on us grandparents.” – Greg Austin
