Halifax is getting ready to celebrate Earth Day in a major way this weekend as it approaches. On April 22, 2023, there will be a wide range of Earth Day celebrations and activities that both locals and visitors can participate in. Everyone can enjoy events like clothing swaps and community clean-ups. The city is also enticing residents to make modest lifestyle adjustments, such as using less plastic and using less energy. We can all improve the environment and build a better future for ourselves and future generations by banding together and taking action.
The People’s Parade for Life on Earth
Let us all join the members of the Grassroots Grandmothers Circle, Ecology Action Centre, School Strike 4 Climate Halifax, iMOVe and many others on April 22nd for a fun neighborhood parade! Let’s all join together to honor Mother Earth, the water that sustains life, our lovely neighborhoods, and our ongoing struggle for peace, justice, and life on our world.
This is a call to action for everyone to unite and lift each other up: a family reunion procession. Groups are encouraged to use their imaginations to creatively represent their neighborhood whatever they are motivated to do so! We’ll be a group of people representing the realm of the non-human, including children and adults, drummers and artists, activists and students, puppets and people in costumes.
Jour De LA Terre / Earth Day 2023: Clean Up and Pollinator

Alliance Française Halifax (AFH), Conseil Communautaire du Grand-Havre (CCGH), and Halifax Seed have suggested this event; with the support of Pitch-in Canada.
