Website Designing is now one of the most in-demand jobs. Some, work in tech companies while others work as freelancers.

Web development is the process of designing and building websites and web applications for the internet. It covers a wide range of topics, with front-end and back-end development being two of the main areas of concentration.

For people with an interest in both technology and design, web development is a promising career path. According to the Government of Canada’s Job Bank, there are anticipated to be 10,400 job openings for web designers and developers between 2022 and 2031 due to expansion and replacement demand, with 12,700 new job seekers coming from school dropouts, immigration, and mobility to fill these positions. International students might think about pursuing a career in web development given the growing demand for these professionals.

In line with this, the Halifax Chamber of Commerce in collaboration with the Department of Labour, Skills, and Immigration; offers a 10-week training program in Website Design. It will start on April 25, 2023.

This course is intended for companies that are seeking to choose the best platform for their website, learn how to design and develop on that platform, manage their site, and expand their web presence.

After completing the course, you will be able to choose a platform wisely and understand how it should be designed and successfully managed for the best outcomes.

The trainer for this program is the managing consultant of Niche Workplace Education, Rob Gorham. He has been in the business of connecting with people for forty years, using both traditional and new media. He owns Niche Workplace Education, a private consulting and training company, and works as a workplace educator for the Nova Scotia Department of Labor, Skills & Immigration. His areas of expertise are brand planning, digital marketing, and e-commerce.

Rob serves as an ecommerce consultant for both the Centre for Women in Business and the Halifax Chamber of Commerce’s TAP export program. Rob is a voracious researcher who keeps his clients and students up to date on the most recent digital developments to help them stay ahead of the game.
