One Port City Day
To celebrate Halifax’s status as a port city, head down to the Halifax Seaport this June 10th! Enjoy entertaining games and activities, carnival treats, a BBQ, vessel exhibits, live music, and more—perfect for the whole family. There is no better way to learn about the Port of Halifax because there is so much to see and do. What’s best? All of it is free!
EVERYSEEKER Festival
EVERYSEEKER is an annual festival of experimental sound and music that blurs musical boundaries. We want to provide easy access to the bizarre, amazing, and delectable auditory environments of Kjipuktuk and elsewhere. By promoting the underground, the revolutionary, the emerging, and fringe dreamers, we aim to promote curiosity and exhibit artists who challenge and subvert industry standards.
This festival highlights the underground, the revolutionary, the emerging, and fringe dreamers while showcasing artists who defy and undermine industry standards. Join the festivities from June 14th-18th!
Indigenous Ingenuity
You’re welcome to check out Indigenous Ingenuity, the newest featured exhibit at Discovery Centre. Native Americans in North America have a long history of inventiveness and using nature as an inspiration. Their inventions and scientific understanding have an impact on the world as we know it today. Through observation, listening, experimentation, and sharing, the exhibition encourages visitors to experience the creative processes that give life to Indigenous knowledge.
Royal Nova Scotia International Tattoo.
Get ready for the legendary Royal Nova Scotia International Tattoo, which will return to Halifax on June 30. Enjoy captivating performances by marching bands, acrobats, dancers, drummers, and much more. To show audiences where they have been, who they are today, and what lies ahead, they combine contemporary spectacle with historical medleys. The entire family will love this performance, and you can even get one free kid’s ticket when you buy one adult or senior ticket.
