The Halifax Jazz Festival (HJF), formerly known as JazzEast Rising, was founded in 1987 to host the first-ever Halifax Jazz Festival in Nova Scotia, Canada (formerly known as the Atlantic Jazz Festival). The 2SLGBTQ+ community gathers annually for 11 days in the Halifax Regional Municipality for the Halifax Pride Festival. The Halifax Pride Society plans a lot of big and small events, but we also work closely with a variety of gay groups and individuals all year long to assist them in organizing their own activities and events. Events will commence on July 20th.
