Oxalis Restaurant
An upgraded European farm-to-table eating experience is provided at the cozy restaurant Oxalis, which also highlights the outstanding goods from our native Nova Scotia.
Inspired by Nova Scotia’s flora and fauna, its always-changing cuisine is influenced by well-chosen products that are available from local farmers, fishmongers, and foragers on land and at sea. It offers a small number of genuine German and Austrian meals.
Curated Food Tours
Join Curated Food Tours on a gastronomic adventure to learn about some of Halifax’s best and most underappreciated foodie hot spots while taking in the city’s sights.
Choose to take a three-hour tasting tour with six stops across one of Halifax’s neighborhoods. Enjoy Halifax’s regional flavors and go behind the scenes of the companies that support the city’s thriving restaurant sector. Sample sushi at an Izakaya, sample craft beer at a nearby brewery, and much more.
Good Robot Brewing Co.
Good Robot, a brewery, bar, restaurant, and beer garden with a humorous atmosphere and innovative brewing methods, is situated in Halifax’s North End. Brewing beers that are varied, unconventional, and full of foraged materials, impulsive decisions, and whimsy, Good Robot pushes the limits of brewing and produces some of the most innovative flavors in Halifax’s craft beer community.
They are a group of beer-obsessed misfits who think that nothing beats buddies getting together for a drink. Let your freak flag fly and leave your grownup clothes at the door at Halifax’s oddest and least nautically themed brewery, taproom, and beer gardens because they were named the best brew pub in the city.
Halifax Brewery Market
A weekly Saturday market is organized on Lower Water Street in Halifax by the non-profit, member-run Halifax Brewery Market Cooperative. On this location, farmers market operations started in 1983, and in 2010, a committed group of sellers established our cooperative.
Our mission is to encourage and support small-scale local food producers and craftsmen while also contributing to the expansion and sustainability of the community’s economy.
The market aspires to be a warm neighborhood gathering place where people may congregate for conversation and relaxation. The market is a venue for mingling and fostering community while supporting and feeding a local food system and economy.
