Children’s dance lessons provide a wide range of social, emotional, and physical advantages beyond just a series of well-coordinated movements. The beneficial effects of these training, which range from classical ballet to hip-hop and modern dance, can profoundly influence a child’s development.
An established innovator in dance education, Halifax Dance is a registered charity that has been around for more than 40 years. The artistic vitality of our community is fundamentally shaped by Halifax Dance, which trains dancers of all ages and levels.
Halifax dance instructors are extremely skilled, with many having completed successful professional dance careers and in-depth training before beginning to teach. Its educators share their knowledge by being devoted to and passionate about their craft while giving students the tools they need to succeed. They put a lot of effort into establishing a secure and encouraging learning environment and value healthy growth.
Students gain knowledge of skill, manners, respect for the arts, for their teachers and fellow students, and the value of teamwork.
Youth Classes
Children who enroll in Halifax Dance’s well-balanced, meticulously planned children’s dance program receive excellent instruction in a supportive setting. Each student’s artistry, musicality, inventiveness, and natural abilities are cultivated while instilling solid technique and a love of dance in their inspiring professional teachers.
Girls and boys between the ages of 0 and 12 can take classes in a variety of subjects through the Children’s Recreational Program.
Teen Classes
Students begin the Halifax Dance Teen Program when they are 13 years old. In order to develop their craft and maintain their physical fitness, this program encourages students to continue their dance education through junior high and high school. The Teen Program encourages self-worth, a healthy competitive spirit, and an avenue for our young dancers’ artistic expression.
Adult Classes
Adults of all ability levels are invited to Halifax Dance to enjoy dance in a friendly, welcoming setting. Dancing can be a fantastic way to keep healthy, meet new people, learn something new, or pursue an old hobby.
