Effective leaders are aware that their success depends on having excellent communication abilities. The capacity to engage, inspire, and connect with people has emerged as a defining characteristic of great leadership in today’s fast-paced and linked society. Clarity, empathy, and impact in communication are skills that not only encourage teamwork but also advance organizations toward their objectives.
But perfecting the art of communication is no simple task. Self-awareness, adaptability, and ongoing learning are all necessary. Organizations are resorting to specialist training programs in response to the demand for remarkable leadership communication, arming their leaders with a toolkit of efficient communication techniques.
To help you be an effective leader, the Halifax Chamber of Commerce is hosting a free 10-week program training on Communication Skills for Exceptional Leaders. This training will take place every Tuesday starting on September 26, 2023.
Business operations in 2023 will alter significantly from those conducted by many of us even five years ago, particularly in terms of how we interact with our workforce and market to consumers. Due to these changing trends in communication in the workplace and marketplace, Communication Skills for Leaders is created to assist you in navigating them. The foundation of this program is also finding and keeping the proper employees. * This program serves as a foundation for additional programs, such as Transformational Leadership (Level I).
You will learn about the value of strategic communication in today’s changing corporate environment throughout this program. You will learn how crucial it is to develop leaders who can energize and inspire their teams by using active listening, emotional intelligence, nonverbal cues, and persuasive storytelling. Trainers will emphasize the indisputable benefit of investing in the development of communication skills by stressing the influence of good communication on company culture, employee engagement, and stakeholder interactions.
Lisette Jones, founder of ThinkSmart Training & Consulting Inc., will be the trainer for this program. She has assisted hundreds of people in overcoming difficult or chaotic circumstances so that they can experience harmony, productivity, and engagement at work. Through her sixteen years of employment as a Workplace Education Instructor for the Department of Labour, Skills, and Immigration, she has experience in a variety of industries and levels of management. Lisette is a professional DiSC® facilitator and Five Behaviors® practitioner. She has a Bachelor of Integrated Studies with a minor in Adult Education.
