The value of physical activity in our lives cannot be overstated in a world of never-ending technological advancements and rising sedentary lifestyles, which is why communities around the world come together every October to celebrate “International Walk to School Month”. This annual event encourages students, parents, and educators to leave their cars behind and stride into a healthier future by embracing the straightforward act of walking to school.
According to http://www.iwalktoschool.org/, this event provides an opportunity for kids, parents, teachers, and community leaders to take part in a worldwide celebration of walking’s numerous advantages. For a variety of reasons, people from all over the world walk together to school in the hopes of establishing communities that are secure for strolling.
Millions of kids, parents, and local authorities from more than 40 nations came together in 2011 to celebrate International Walk to School Month in October.
Although the idea of walking to school may seem archaic to some, it has a lot of potential to help both individuals and society as a whole in a variety of ways. International Walk to School Month offers a priceless chance for proponents of active living to band together and have a tremendous influence, from encouraging individual health to easing traffic congestion to developing a feeling of community and environmental awareness.
