Innovative concepts and ground-breaking solutions have enormous potential in the thriving technology sector in Nova Scotia. But frequently it takes more than just a fantastic idea to make these goals come true; it also needs funding and a strong foundation to sustain expansion. This is where Invest Nova Scotia Accelerate comes into play, a crucial initiative designed to help Nova Scotian technology startups become investment-ready and ultimately successful.
Invest Nova Scotia Accelerate is a milestone-based program that is delivered digitally and aids Nova Scotia start-ups in becoming investment-ready. They are concentrating on five industries where they can add value for their clients by utilizing their extensive internal experience and their network of specialists and investors.
This time, a four-month program will be used to deliver it. Participating businesses receive non-dilutive, non-repayable funding of up to $40,000 each to help them reach important technical and commercial milestones. Companies may take part in a maximum of two consecutive cohorts.
Companies also have access to a number of resources and acceleration initiatives in addition to money. Resources are made specifically for the cohorts to offer assistance where participants most need it.
One of the chosen NS Start-ups to participate in the latest Nova Scotia Accelerate cohort is Oltre Financial.
Oltre Financial, a creative software firm with its headquarters in Halifax, has created a user-friendly Software as a Service (SaaS) platform. Oltre offers users a thorough financial action plan by combining an intuitive front-end interface with our in-house tax and estate optimization algorithms. This includes a customized deposit and withdrawal strategy that reduces the user’s lifetime tax burden.
Compass offers users an in-depth financial action plan that includes a personalized deposit and withdrawal strategy that reduces the user’s tax liability over the course of their lifetime. This is accomplished by combining an intuitive front-end interface with proprietary tax and estate optimization algorithms, including AI.
Co-founder of Oltre Financial Zac Davies stated that Accelerate gave Oltre Financial important validation and reaffirmed our faith in the potential of our business. We attracted a lot of attention from venture capital companies as well as the general public as a result of being chosen for the Accelerate program. As we work toward a product launch in Q4 of 2023, the speed money has also given our plans a much-needed boost by enabling us to speed both our product development and marketing plans.
