Labour Day Picnic Café
Labor Day Picnic is a casual café providing their famed house-made caramels, espresso, local beer & wine, house-made baked products, and light lunch cuisine along the foggy beaches of St. Margaret’s Bay in Glen Haven, Nova Scotia. The cafe is named after the yearly Labor Day picnics that used to be hosted in this old community hall and is also known among the locals as Paul’s Hall. Before it became the LDP in 2020, the building itself served many other purposes in the neighborhood, one of which was hosting live music, a role we are delighted to continue in order to provide additional chances for the neighborhood to come together.
Café Lunette
This is a French Restaurant in Downtown Halifax. A Parisian-Inspired Café & Bistro that offers morning coffee and viennoiserie, breezy business lunches, nightly get-togethers, languid Sunday brunches, and all in between.
The bar serves traditional cocktails, Old World wines, and a few funkier, biodynamic bottles in the nights when the lights go down and the music picks up. These drinks are ideal for sipping by candlelight while you take in the lively bistro atmosphere. The café is located at 160-1741 Lower Water Street.
