By Councillor Iona Stoddard
As we step into November, we take time and remember our veterans and military service people who gave their lives. I will be at the Japanese War Memorial in Clayton Park to place a wreath on behalf of District 12 for Remembrance Day, I hope to see you there to commemorate their service and sacrifice.
TRANSIT PAYMENT APP LAUNCHES
I’m so pleased that the new mobile fare payment app for Transit is on track to launch this month! HFXGO allows customers to purchase and use tickets and passes from the convenience of their smartphones.
HFXGO is a secure, easy to use mobile fare payment app that allows Halifax Transit customers to purchase and activate tickets and passes directly from their smartphones or online. Once you have your pass, just show it to the Operator or ferry security staff prior to boarding. Passengers can still purchase paper tickets and passes at a retail partner or use cash fare. To learn more, visit https://www.halifax.ca/transportation/halifax-transit/fares-tickets-passes/hfxgo.
