Meeting agendas are generally available by the Friday before the meeting. Reports are available for many meetings and are linked within the agendas. Live and archived video is also linked when available.

Check the agenda for each meeting, once available, to confirm whether the meeting will be virtual or in-person. Draft minutes of meetings will be posted and updated once approved at halifax.ca/city-hall/agendas-meetings-reports.

KESHEN GOODMAN LIBRARY
The Keshen Goodman Public Library is now open again with limited service. The library will fully re-open in late spring.

COMMUNITY GRANTS PROGRAM
Starting January 3, our Community Grants Program is welcoming applications. The program provides annual program or capital grants to registered non-profit organizations and charities. Access application forms at our Customer Service Centers or through our website halifax.ca/business/doing-business-halifax/community-non-profit-resources/community-grants For further information, please contact nonprofit@halifax.ca or call 902-497- 0479.

VON CAPABLE PROGRAM
Last week I became aware of a VON program called CAPABLE – Community Aging in Place, Advance Better Living for Elders. The program creates a plan to keep the person in their home and will do minor work like bathroom grab bars, and extra handrails, change the flooring, and install brighter lighting. They do not do large renovations or ramps but can help navigate the various programs that may be available for that type of work.

The next pilot intake for the program will be postal codes B3R, B3S and B3J. They will take the first 100 people on a first come first serve basis for the pilot. They have a physiotherapist, a registered nurse, and a handy person who will assess the person(s) in the home/rental. You can reach them at 1-888-925-6101 or capablens@von.ca.

CONTACT ME
Follow me on Facebook and Twitter where I share regular updates. You can also read my e-newsletters at halifax.ca or if you would like a copy of my newsletter sent directly to your inbox, please contact Vicki Palmeter at Victoria.palmetert@halifax.ca.

However, if you have questions, contact me directly at 902-240-7926 or via email at iona.stoddard@halifax.ca or for municipal matters please contact 311.
