Happy Spring to all! I want to extend my warmest wishes for a happy and joyous month:
To Christians who just celebrated Easter, I hope you enjoyed time spent gathering with your families and loved ones, reflecting, and lending a hand to those who need it most.
To Orthodox Christians preparing to celebrate Easter, I wish you blessings, joy, and spiritual fulfillment.
To the Muslim community who will be celebrating the traditions of Eid al-Fitr and marking the end of Ramadan, take this opportunity to reflect on the principles of peace, forgiveness, and unity and recommit to your core values of charity and helping those in need.
To the Jewish community preparing for Passover, let its story remind you of the power of courage, resilience, and perseverance. Chag Pesach Sameach to all!
And to the Sikh community, all the best as you celebrate Vaisakhi, marking the creation of the Khalsa and the Sikh articles of faith. Let us embrace the diversity of our religious traditions and draw strength from the unity they foster. May this month be one of renewal, compassion, and solidarity for all Canadians.
Childcare that Works for You
We’re expanding affordable childcare options in Canada – so moms and dads can balance work with family, and kids can get the best start to life.
Here’s what that looks like:
• Continuing to reduce Nova Scotians’ child care fees down to $10-a-day by 2026.
• Providing low-cost loans and grants to public and not-for-profit child care providers to build new spaces and renovate their existing child care centres—a complement to the existing Early Learning and Child Care Infrastructure Fund.
• Investing in the training of more early childhood educators and providing student loan forgiveness for Canada’s rural and remote early childhood educators.
It’s about not having to choose between going to work and being able to take care of your kids. It’s about fairness. We believe in helping families take care of their kids and making life more affordable. After all, it takes a village to raise a child.
Health Care That You Can Depend On.
• We’re working with partners to get Canadians better care in communities right across the country.
• We’ve signed an agreement with the province to deliver shorter wait times, more doctors, nurses, and better care; and
• We’re rolling out national Pharmacare and the Canadian Dental Care Plan to help millions of Canadians get the essential medications and dental care they need.
Thank you for your continued support!
