The Fairview Clayton Park Farmers Market will make its 2024 debut on June 6th. The market will be open on Thursdays from 4-7PM and is located in the Centennial Arena parking lot. The market runs weekly until Halloween this year. There are 35 vendors currently set to attend the grand opening week.
Thirteen vendors have been announced as weekly participants. Egyptian Cuisine as well as Jamdouns Jamaican Canadian Cuisine will provide some good eats. For those of you that are fans of baked goods, both Dejan’s European Bakery and The Grateful Baker will have their delicious treats available. Scotian Gal Pantry and Mount Denson Blueberries will provide preserves while Spicekit will help liven up you’re cooking. There’s also several crafts and creations including Happy Stitches, Gingerpice Creations, Gale’s home Sewing, and Ataraxy Farm whose products are made from goat’s milk. A Piece of Art By Connor will feature works by local artist Connor. Finally, your four-legged friend will also find a tasty treat at Green Paw.
Many other vendors will participate on a part-time basis this summer. A schedule is posted at https://fairviewclaytonparkfarmersmarket.ca/. On opening day, you will find several additional stalls offering craft goods. Ocean Crafts, who specialize in handmade resin products, Hall Crafty who upcycles beverage cans, and From Sea to You which specializes in sea glass are among the attendees. Whisk and Crumble will be on hand for those of you who need a cookie fix. If that is still not enough choice for your snacking pleasure, Cool Bus Treats will also have an assortment of delicious goods as well.
While they will not make their debut until June 13, Black Harbour Distillers will be a monthly participant at the market offering their craft spirits such as rum and vodka made in Hubbards. There are many more vendors who will pop up each week, thus you can always find something different every time you attend. Many of the vendors take cards but it is recommended to bring some cash. Finally, there will be live music from local musicians Jeff , Gary, and Ethan to entertain while you shop.
