As a retiree, have your days been filled with meaningful activities? Have you made an effort to meet new friends? Acquired new knowledge? If not, you may want to consider joining a Probus Club. Probus is a social organization for men and women providing an opportunity to meet socially and enjoy an interesting program of talks, presentations, and activities. The club is purely social, and members have no obligations to participate in any fundraising activities. There are no expectations as to how many meetings members need to attend each year which is ideal for those retirees who like to travel at various times of the year.
Most Probus clubs are available for your enjoyment and participation ten months of the year as there are no meetings scheduled for the months of July and August. You can be involved in the club as much or as little as you wish. Choose a club and attend a meeting as a guest to assess whether or not you feel comfortable within that particular group. You will be greeted warmly, introduced to the group as well as have the opportunity to listen to that month’s guest speaker.
