The Fairview Community Association (FCA) is excited to kick off a new project aimed at enhancing the beauty of the neighborhood. This initiative comes on the heels of the Halifax Regional Municipality’s (HRM) recent plans for the much needed Dutch Village Road redesign.
“We’re happy to see HRM’s redesign plans, but we felt that the other end of Dutch Village Road was being overlooked,” said FCA Chairperson, Debbie MacKinnon. “We’ve launched this project to ensure both entrances to our neighborhood are beautiful and welcoming.” The FCA invited residents to submit ideas for a mural that captures Fairview’s unique history. A Fish & Chip fundraiser will be held at Freeman’s on Dutch Village Road on September 14th 6-9pm, with all proceeds going to the Community Mural Project. There will be a silent auction, and the mural contest winner will be announced. Tickets must be bought in advance by e-transfer to oliviahuot99@ gmail.com.
The FCA invites residents to get involved, share their ideas, and support the project, to ensure Fairview remains a vibrant and welcoming community from end to end.
