Dempsey Corner Orchards
Dempsey Corner Orchards is carrying on a 2000 tradition. Every year, guests make lasting memories with their families and loved ones by visiting their family’s U-Pick Orchard in Aylesford.
Families may harvest peaches, plums, maize, pumpkins, apples, and carrots at Dempsey Corner. Children can even dig their own root veggies, such potatoes, carrots, onions, or beets! The merry-goat ride, where goats ride alongside children, is sure to delight the little ones. Take pleasure in the playground, tearoom, pet zoo, hot meals, pastries, jams, and of course, freshly made pies!
Willowbank U-Pick Farm
Visitors can harvest a variety of fall crops from Willowbank Farm, a working farm operated by the Johnson family. In the fall season, they open to the public with a u-pick apple orchard, pumpkin patch, corn maze, petting zoo, hayrides, and a market with fresh produce, pickles, and bales of hay for sale.
Come see their family’s farm if you’re seeking for some personal stress relief. Keep in mind that this is a working farm, so please be respectful and use common sense.
Noggin’s Corner Farm Market
A family favorite, Noggin’s Corner Farm boasts a massive (and really difficult!) corn maze in addition to a well-liked Barnyard Adventure section with multiple playgrounds. The location is filled with picnic tables where visitors may savor freshly produced farm meals. Classic favorites at Noggin’s include the rickety wagon ride to the orchard and their eerie Haunted House, which is open only in October.
Those who like the harvest season are welcome to pick their own apples. Purchase tickets to pick only or as an add-on to your entry to the maze grounds. Just pick your preferred bag size and pay for it! On weekends only, wagon rides to the orchard depart every 20 to 30 minutes.
Elderkin’s U-Pick, Farm Market, and Bakery
Since 1760, the Annapolis Valley farm known as Elderkin’s Farm has been under family ownership. Fresh produce and baked goods are available at Elderkin’s Farm Market and Bakery, which opened its doors in 1996. Apples, pears, plums, tomatoes, blueberries, raspberries, and pumpkins are just a few of the delectable produce that make Elderkin’s U-Pick one of the most popular U-Pick sites in Nova Scotia.
