Shopping Under the Stars
Shopping Under the Stars is a great way to start the holiday season! Bring your family for a day on Spring Garden as they add a little holiday enchantment to the street. In order to create a holiday movie scene, they will be closing Spring Garden Road between South Park and Queen Street on Friday, December 6*. Vehicles will not be allowed on the roadway, but pedestrians will be allowed. Large holiday decorations for photo ops, holiday trees line the street, free hot chocolate stations, and fantastic holiday bargains are all to be expected during the holiday street closure.
Join a Fun Run
Participate in a festive fun run this month to enjoy the holidays in a meaningful and enjoyable way. Sign up for the Snow Folk Shuffle on Quinpool Road. Dilly Dally Coffee Café will mark the start and finish lines, and all runners are welcome to end the race with some delicious hot chocolate. On the same day, Lower Sackville hosts the Santa Shuffle Fun Run & Elf Walk along First Lake Trail, with festivities to start and end the race. Everyone is welcome at these fun runs, regardless of ability level, whether you wish to walk at a leisurely pace or break a world record. The best thing about it? Raising money for The Salvation Army and Feed Nova Scotia will allow you to give back to the community.
