My colleagues and I just finished up three weeks in the Nova Scotia Legislature. One of my proudest moments as an MLA is when I get to bring your concerns to the floor of the legislature. This session I spoke about the new school for the area, the Bayer’s Lake Outpatient Centre, and the affordability crisis that many residents are facing. I also had the pleasure of speaking about outstanding members and new businesses in our community, who are doing amazing things for our area, through Members Statements. LITTER PREVENTION COMMITTEE
I am so pleased that we will be starting up the Litter Prevention Committee this Spring with two cleanups in Clayton Park West. The first one will be Saturday, May 13th and Saturday, June 17th 10-12pm. Locations will be released by email and on my Facebook page. If you would be interested in joining this fabulous group of volunteers, please email: litterpreventioncommittee@ gmail.com to join our team. We are committed to having the cleanest community in HRM.
MEETING WITH CONSTITUENTS
Coffee and Conversation is a great way for constituents to sit down with me to talk about issues that pertain to provincial matters. Please call our office and book an appointment. It is exciting to get out and meet residents at events, please let my office know if you have any event coming up that we can help promote on our social media. Our petition to bring 24 hr. urgent care is on my Facebook page with over 2000 signatures. We need to continue to advocate for this. Have your family and friends sign the petition. We want to hear your stories about access to family doctors, urgent care and emergency services. I am honoured to continue to represent the constituents of Clayton Park West.
