For you to be equipped with the right tool in mastering your presentation skills, The Halifax Chamber of Commerce is offering a free online Presentation Skills. This 10-week program is in collaboration with the Department of Labour, Skills and Immigration. This program is offered to businesses, managers, and employees at zero cost and will start on January 27, 2023 at 9:00 am.
The course must be taken on a computer, laptop, or tablet; no phones are permitted. Participants must also have access to a high-speed Internet; a hardwired connection is preferable over wi-fi.
Webcam, headset, or earphones are required. Participants must participate via laptop video if they don’t have a webcam. To maintain the connection with the teacher and other participants, participants must display video.
The main objective of this training is to improve the learners present with conviction and clarity using a better organized presentation, inviting audience engagement and interaction, and motivating them to take action. It will include topics such as Analyzing the Audience, Getting Rid of Fear of Public Speaking, and How to Communicate with Diplomacy and Tact. It will also include The Art of Storytelling, High Impact Presentation, Public speaking Mastery, Presentations that Influence People, How to Present On-line and many more.
