Halifax Jazz Festival with Kids
The annual TD Halifax Jazz Festival is just one of the many musical and educational events that have been presented by Halifax Jazz Festival (HJF) since 1987. The festival, which the Halifax Regional Municipality has named a Hallmark Event, can draw up to 65,000 guests, includes 400 volunteers, and pays over 350 local musicians.
The Halifax Jazz Festival (HJF), formerly known as JazzEast Rising, was founded in 1987 to host the first-ever Halifax Jazz Festival in Nova Scotia, Canada (formerly known as the Atlantic Jazz Festival). Since becoming a registered charity, HJF has expanded its focus to include a variety of musical and educational endeavors year-round in addition to the popular TD Halifax Jazz Festival. Join the festivities from July 11-16!
Halifax Pride Festival
The 2SLGBTQ+ community gathers annually for 11 days in the Halifax Regional Municipality for the Halifax Pride Festival. The history, culture, activism, and tenacity of the queer community are honored via more than 150 activities that Pride and the local community have created. The Halifax Pride Society plans a lot of big and small events, but we also work closely with a variety of gay groups and individuals all year long to assist them in organizing their own activities and events. Events will commence on July 20th.
