The Prismatic Arts Festival
The Prismatic Arts Festival is a large, multidisciplinary national arts event that promotes and honors the creative work of Canadian artists of color and Indigenous peoples. Since 2008, Kjipuktuk-based Prismatic has been presenting audiences with dynamic, cutting-edge new works in theatre, dance, music, video, visual arts, media arts, and spoken word.
Farm Fest 2023
The entire family can participate in this daytime event that is family-friendly. Activities include making scarecrows, pressing apples, milking “Jenny the Jersey,” face painting, children’s wool crafts, and sack races. The Rose & Kettle Tearoom will sell food and beverages, and your family is welcome to explore the neighboring museum buildings and animal farms. Join the festivities this September 30th at the Cole Harbour Heritage Farm Museum!
East Coast Ukrainian Festival
The Ukrainian Canadian Congress, Nova Scotia Branch, and a team of enthusiastic volunteers are in charge of planning the first East Coast Ukrainian Festival. The event’s organizers want to have fun while also introducing Nova Scotians to their culture and traditions. There are plenty of pierogies for everyone, so bring your kids, family, and friends! Enjoy Ukrainian food, dance, and music at the Canadian Museum of Immigration this October 1st!
